About Me
There are so many reasons why I love UX Design! I am constantly learning, growing, and challenging myself. I get to talk to a lot of people and learn how they think and feel, how they solve problems, and why they do the things they do. I get to use a lot of cool tools and technologies, do research, explore new ideas, and create. I get to collaborate with cross-functional teams, share ideas, and learn from a lot of incredibly talented people. I use feedback to continually improve myself and the products I work on. I listen closely to understand and innovate to help find solutions bringing user needs and business goals together. I’m involved in a great community of product professionals who share their talent and help each other. Most of all, I have the privilege to transform and create awesome digital products that make a difference and help improve people’s lives.
My life experiences and my interests in design, organization, problem-solving, understanding and serving others has helped prepare me for a career in UX Design. I have been an educational instructor and public speaker on genealogy, food storage, and emergency preparedness. I was an independent demonstrator in sales and art instruction. I have also co-taught Math and English classes in high school and love helping kids succeed. Most weekends I can be found working on DIY home projects, cheering at soccer games, or eating chocolate peanut butter ice cream.
